Price Rubin and Gravity Nashville Form Price Rubin Nashville
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) April 19, 2016 -- Jack Price, founder of Price Rubin & Partners and concert pianist formerly known as Dickran Atamian, recently announced the talent management company is expanding to include mainstream artists. Its new division of talent acquisition is called Price Rubin Nashville. “We discovered that a large number of artists, including jazz, country, rock and folk, were unrepresented,” said Price. “We welcome development bands and soloists of all kinds to apply, audition and consult with our new partner, Mike Musick at Gravity Nashville. Since expanding, we have already signed numerous artists.”
Price Rubin and Gravity Nashville merged to form Price Rubin Nashville to provide pop, rock, jazz, country, bluegrass, folk and western artists and bands a chance to brand their names and receive the necessary consideration they need for nationwide booking. “We are very excited because there is a real buzz about what we are bringing to the Nashville market through Price Rubin Nashville,” said Musick. “A lot of the artists have been with traditional booking agencies but haven’t been getting any bookings.”
To rectify booking problems, Price Rubin Nashville not only calls venues on the artist’s behalf, but provides a real-time accountability tool to the artist so they can see who Price Rubin is calling. “This also gives the artist a chance to grow because of the feedback,” said Price. “However, we are not just signing anybody. An artist has to have their show, and if they don’t have a show, we can’t really represent them.”
However, right out of the gate, Price Rubin Nashville signed its first artist, a phenomenal Irish jazz-blues singer named Tara O’Grady, who had previous management but was ready to go to the next level. Price Rubin Nashville prides itself on being an advocate for artists. “We are signing people who feel they are pigeonholed in this business and need to get off that plateau,” said Musick. “We offer more of a maverick, rogue-type of management.”
Furthermore, Price reports that since implementing the company’s Nashville expansion, the reaction has been “unbelievable,” with 600 new Twitter followings in five days. To further spread the word, they will be holding a press conference in Nashville on May 3 at 6 p.m. at Union Station Hotel. There will be live music from the new acts and Price and Musick will be on hand to answer any questions.
