LOS ANGELES, March 30, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Storefront for LGBTQ+ apparel and equality advocates, Pride Palace, have announced plans to host a livestream for Transgender Day of Visibility this Wednesday, March 31st. This online broadcast will begin at 9 PM EST and will be held on Instagram on the Pride Palace page, @PridePalaceLGBT, and is designed for both transgender individuals and allies of the community. With this stream, Pride Palace will continue working to establish itself as a legit brand with the LGBTQ+ circle and develop a platform that can be used to further spread awareness.
The stream will be hosted by Sander Jennings, a television personality who uses his expertise in digital marketing to promote LGBTQ+ equality and rights issues. Jennings is joined by transgender prom queen Corey Rae and transgender latinx influencer Gabriel Reséndez, who both use their growing social media platforms to advocate for transgender equality and acceptance. On the stream, Jennings will moderate as Reséndez and Rae share their unique perspectives as transgender individuals and help spread awareness of issues that they still face.
Pride Place is a digital storefront and social media brand that works to enable LGBTQ+ voices and prompt discussion about equal rights. The Transgender Day of Visibility is held annually on March 31st in accordance with the Human Rights Campaign, whose President Alphonso David said "Transgender and non-binary people face significant cultural, legal and economic challenges, but continue to bravely share their stories, boldly claim their seats at the table and tirelessly push equality forward." These challenges have never been higher, as the HRC reported that 2020 was the year with the highest number of violet fatal incidents against transgender and non-conforming people since it began tracking the statistic in 2013. The number of deaths was 44, and in 2021 the organization has already reported 12 deaths, noting that the majority of these people are Black and Latinx.
