Priority Energy and Albany Park Community Center Partner Again to Provide Complimentary BPI Energy Auditor Training for Under-Employed Cook County Residents
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 27, 2015 -- Priority Energy, the leading Chicago energy solutions and training company, has partnered again with Albany Park Community Center (APCC) to provide free energy auditor training to unemployed or under-employed Cook County residents. Qualified individuals include anyone with construction, HVAC, framing, carpentry, insulation, architecture, and engineering backgrounds. Students will develop in-demand, marketable skills and can earn BPI certification which will enable them to enter into the growing energy efficiency industry or advance their current careers.
Robert Schildgen, owner of Priority Energy says, "The Building Analyst certification will help students develop confidence and advance in their careers. It is also a required certification for all weatherization contractors who want to participate in the Nicor, ComEd and People's Gas rebate programs."
BPI, the Building Performance Institute, is one of the most nationally recognized energy auditing standards development and credentialing organizations in the country. As the authority in the industry, they have set procedural standards by which all BPI certified auditors are trained and must follow. This quality-assured designation will make these students very marketable to employers.
APCC is currently recruiting for the Spring 2015 training sessions. The program includes free training, transportation assistance, an expenses stipend, tutoring, and job placement assistance. Orientation and assessments are held weekly. For more information, individuals should contact Emily at 773-433-3267.
