Hierl Insurance has been a Fond du Lac, privately held and family owned/operated business since 1919. As a third-generation business started by Henry T Hierl, Hierl wants to celebrate this anniversary with the surrounding communities that have played such a major part in their sucess. Many of the Employee Benefit and Property & Casualty clientele of Hierl have been a part of the Hierl client family for more than 50 years. Henry Hierl, Tom Hierl and now Mike Hierl represent the owner succession of Hierl and have been deeply involved in the Fond du Lac and surrounding communities serving on the boards of many charitable organizations over the years.

Started in 1919 by Harry T. Hierl, the Hierl agency has been and continues to be family owned and operated. Harry T. Hierl was succeeded by his son, Tom Hierl and grandson, Mike Hierl, who is the current President of the company.
"My father started [Hierl] when he was 22 years old in 1919, with the original sign stating that Hierl served the community with Insurance, Real Estate and Loans." said Tom Hierl.
Since its start, Hierl has narrowed their scope of service and now engages their expertise strictly in the Employee Benefits and Property and Casualty lines of business.
Beginning 100 years ago with Harry T. Hierl, the underpinnings of the legacy within Hierl Insurance has been community involvement. From father to son to grandson, it was never enough to just write a check but more important to give of your time and your knowledge. This principle - rooted in kindness, selflessness and integrity - was not only preached but practiced by every generation of Hierls.
