The Project Haystack Organization (http://www.project-haystack.org), a collaborative community addressing the challenge of utilizing semantic modeling and tagging to streamline the interchange of data among different systems, devices, equipment and software applications, today announced the latest companies joining the growing list of Project Haystack Associate Members and Project Haystack will be presenting one of the free educational industry sessions sponsored by automatedbuildings.com during AHR Expo 2020, Haystack 4 - What it is and Why it Matters, on Tuesday, February 4th.
Resolute Building Intelligence and KODE Labs are the latest companies to join the Project Haystack Organization.
Resolute Building Intelligence provides a unique building-performance analytics package that leverages the Haystack tagging methodology and the Niagara open-source connectivity protocol to enable Tridium Niagara users to connect directly to the Resolute solution without the need for additional devices. This seamless integration, enabled by the data- and tagging-standardization efforts of Project Haystack, allows customers to quickly, reliably, and affordably use real-time building data and analytics-driven insights to better manage building performance and achieve quantifiable results.

KODE Labs has developed a vendor agnostic platform which simplifies how people connect, visualize and control all the systems in their buildings. With the introduction of the new Haystack 4 standard in 2019, Project Haystack will be participating in the educational industry sessions sponsored by Ken Sinclair of automatedbuildings.com during AHR Expo 2020 in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, February 4th at 10:30 am in Meeting Room W311C. Presenters will be John Petze, Executive Director, and Marc Petock, Executive Secretary of Project Haystack.
Understanding the need for semantic modeling of device and equipment data has matured significantly in the last decade, and the requirements and techniques for applying semantic modeling to equipment data are advancing rapidly. The session, titled Haystack 4 – The Continued Evolution of Semantic Tagging – What it is and Why it Matters, will provide attendees with a comprehensive understand of the new Haystack 4 standard.
While building systems have been the place where Haystack semantic tagging gained traction and adoption, the new Haystack 4 methodology goes beyond HVAC, temperature sensors, fans, meters, and building systems. The IoT, BIoT and the IIoT are bringing diverse smart devices into homes, high-rise commercial buildings, industrial facilities, factories and agriculture. As smart devices proliferate into solutions no one could have ever imagined even a few years ago, coming from different suppliers around the world, the opportunity for implementing a data management strategy that includes tagging has become even more critical.
Adoption of Project Haystack is at an all-time high. It is being utilized in a wide variety of applications and use cases, and being deployed in thousands of buildings incorporating millions of square feet globally.
