According to the Association of Asset Management Professionals (AMP), which grants the CRL certification, "CRL is aimed at addressing the root causes of the high failure rate of technical implementations." This includes figuring out the weaknesses in a system that could result in failure for a client and improving the overall performance of a product or service. The certification is the culmination of learning AMP's Uptime Elements™ framework, which highlights the essential elements of asset management and how those elements interact over the asset's lifecycle. To date, only 3,357 people worldwide have earned the CRL certification.
