Filiberto Ruiz and Alan Wessel join the Board of Directors; Brian Chapman, PhD, joins as Director of Technology

The three appointments bring together deep experience in cement manufacturing, concrete commercialization and biocement technology as Prometheus Materials advances the commercial scale-up of ProZERO™, its concentrated GWP-reducing supplemental blend designed to replace supplemental cementitious materials (SCMs) such as fly ash and slag.
Prometheus technology is already being deployed in real-world projects for six of the datacenter hyperscalers demonstrating its ability to bring low-carbon—and carbon-negative—cement technology into existing concrete production at commercial scale.

Filiberto Ruiz brings nearly four decades of cement and construction materials leadership. He previously served as President and CEO of Votorantim Cimentos North America and earlier served as President and CEO of Holcim US and Aggregate Industries US. He has also chaired the Portland Cement Association and was a Member of the Executive Board of the National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA), giving Prometheus additional experience at the highest levels of cement manufacturing, industry partnerships and market adoption.

Alan Wessel brings more than 35 years of construction materials experience, including leadership of Thomas Concrete's U.S. operations and senior roles at Vulcan Materials Company. Alan also served on the Executive Committee and was a Board Member of the National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA).
His background spans ready-mix operations, manufacturing scale, customer adoption and the commercialization of new construction materials.
