LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A team of diaspora members led by prominent Anglophone Cameroonian lawyer; Barrister Emmanuel Nsahlai (the CEO of Nsahlai law firm; an international law firm licensed in California and Cameroon) has answered to the Cameroonian's government call to national and international luminaries to contribute to the resolution of the crisis in the North-West and South-West Regions.
The Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA in a message to the nation on 10 September 2019 announced the holding of a Major National Dialogue on the situation in the North-West and South-West Regions. Although it will focus mainly on the crisis in these regions, the Dialogue will concern also the people of the other regions of Cameroon.
Mr Nsahlai's team's proposed strategy for a path to sustainable peace and prosperity centers around a core concept: economic development through the engagement of Cameroonians as active, vested stakeholders. To that effect, Mr Nsahlai will take advantage of his participation to the national dialogue to announce two initiatives:
- The formation of a $1 billion USD development fund allowing members of the Cameroonian diaspora to invest in government-backed securities designed to uplift the North-West and South-West Regions and the whole country in general
- The launch of a cash-to-goods marketplace designed to help members of the diaspora make purchases in Cameroon while avoiding money transfer fees
