Mr. Nigam has over 35 years of diverse experience with non-profit, public and private sector organizations in both Nevada and New York. He has an extensive background in the fields of economics, politics, finance, accounting and investment management. Prior to joining Paul Padda Law, Mr. Nigam was Chief Financial Officer at Palatine Investments, LLC and Financial Manager for a national health care company. His most recent position prior to joining the law firm was serving as a highly respected Financial Analyst at the Las Vegas Valley Water District where he helped oversee and administrator a multi million dollar budget.
Apart from his professional experience in finance, Mr. Nigam has for the past 20 years also been involved with numerous local and state-wide political campaigns. In recognition of his incredible background and community service, Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval appointed Mr. Nigam in 2011 to serve as a Commissioner on the Nevada Equal Rights Commission, the state's premiere civil rights agency. Impressed with his talent and dedication to Nevada, Governor Sandoval again appointed Mr. Nigam to an important public body, the Nevada Board of Osteopathic Medicine where he continues to serve.
In addition to service on public bodies, Mr. Nigam has demonstrated a strong commitment to the Las Vegas community by founding and serving as the first President of the South Asian Political Network Alliance (SAPNA), a non-partisan political organization providing community engagement and education. Mr. Nigam was also the former Treasurer and Board Member of the Las Vegas chapter of the "NAACP" and a Board Member of the Asian American Kiwanis Club. He has also recently been appointed as Treasurer of the South Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas.
In the realm of education, Mr. Nigam is very involved with the Nevada Policy Research Institute, a free market "think tank." He has also for the past 7 years funded an annual scholarship for graduating high school seniors from local schools. He has volunteered his time for many community organizations including Ronald McDonald House and "Las Vegas Wash Green Up."
Mr. Nigam has an M.B.A. in finance and an M.S. in applied economics. A 32-year resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mr. Nigam is a well-known and highly respected member of the community.
