PROTEL Communications and Xtelesis Agree to Terms for Merger and Additionally Hire Industry Veteran David Krietzberg as New CFO
Protel Communications Inc., has announced it will merge with Xtelesis, a full-service IT Services and Unified Communications provider headquartered in Burlingame, CA. In addition, Protel has also announced David Krietzberg as its new chief Financial Officer. Krietzberg is an industry veteran bringing more than 30 years of strategic and financial management experience.
SAN DIEGO, March 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ --In the latest in a series of strategic mergers and acquisitions, Protel Communications Inc., has announced it will merge with Xtelesis, a full-service IT Services and Unified Communications provider headquartered in Burlingame, CA.
In addition, Protel has also announced David Krietzberg as its new chief Financial Officer. Krietzberg is an industry veteran bringing more than 30 years of strategic and financial management experience. He began his telecommunication career with Isoetec and Executone, and has since served as CFO for industry luminaries such as Inter-Tel Technologies, Mitel US, Crexendo, and, most recently, Vertical Communications. Protel Communications CEO, Michael Promotico commented, "The merger of Xtelesis into Protel not only further advances our accretive growth plans but, with the addition of Mr. Krietzberg, it concurrently bolsters our Executive team with the talent and skill-set required to manage this growth."

The merger of Xtelesis will be the latest in a series of strategic and accretive transactions that Protel has enterered into. It was preceded by the purchases of Advantel Networks in 2017 and Mills Communications and Tranquilnet Solutions, both in 2018.

The addition of Mr. Krietzberg further bolsters the Protel Execeutive Management team to now include a CFO who has overseen the integration, mergers and acquistions of some of the largest and most impactful transactions in the telecommunications vertical. Included amongst these were the growth of Inter-Tel US direct sales from 22 offices to 65 branches, mainly through M&A activities.. More recently, Mr. Krietzberg, as CFO of Fulton Communications, established financial controls and leveraged growth transactions that subsequently led to the company's merger with Vertical Communications in 2014.
