SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 2, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- LPGA Tour golfer Austin Ernst finished 20-under par to win the 2020 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Entering the final round, Ernst trailed fellow PXG Tour Professional Anna Nordqvist (who finished second) by four strokes. Ernst made ten birdies and posted the best score of the day during her final round to secure her second LPGA Tour victory.
"I've worked hard over the last several months to dial in my game, and it feels amazing to bring home the win," said Ernst. "Between my PXG clubs and having renewed confidence in my game, I was fired up and ready to get back in the winner's circle."
Ernst (1) and Nordqvist (2) were joined at the top of the leaderboard by fellow #PXGTroops Katherine Kirk (T7) and Linnea Strom (T9). Collectively, the four LPGA players made 72 birdies and two eagles across the three-round tournament to finish in the top 10.
"Austin is an amazing player, and it was fun to watch her pull out all the stops on Sunday to earn the top spot," said PXG founder and CEO Bob Parsons. "Between Austin and Anna battling it out and several of our other LPGA players having a great weekend, I couldn't be more proud of how the team represented PXG this weekend."
