Qorus Software is awarded Microsoft Silver Cloud Platform Competency
(PRWEB) July 04, 2015 -- Cloud computing is no longer just a mysterious “trend” over-hyped by marketers. As its early adopters have found, the cloud offers a significant competitive advantage when it comes to cost, scalability and flexibility. And with the likes of Azure hitting the market in 2010, most security and reliability concerns have been allayed.
As a company that specializes in making collaboration easier, Qorus Software is always looking for ways to improve its service to sales, marketing and bid management teams around the world. Naturally, making its most popular solution, Qorus Breeze Proposals, available in the cloud was high priority – but so was ensuring improved security and reliability.
“Our products were created to speed up the process of building accurate, personalised documents such as proposals, presentations and pitch books. A big part of what we do involves helping the brightest minds in a business to collaborate on content effortlessly, at the same time, from wherever they happen to be. Microsoft SharePoint is a great enabler of this, with cloud computing taking it to the next level,” explains Ray Meiring, CEO at Qorus.
“In 2014, we made the move from our previous cloud partner to Azure. There were a number of reasons for the move, the primary one being security. Azure’s ability to span multiple datacenters and multi-tenant architecture gives us improved security, and improved business continuity and disaster recovery – ensuring that our clients’ information is in the best hands possible.”
Now, as a result of its innovative use of Azure, Microsoft has awarded Qorus Software the Silver Cloud Platform Competency. This coveted acknowledgement is only given to those who have specialized in the provision of infrastructures and SaaS solutions in collaboration with Azure.
As Nicole Herskowitz, Senior Director of Product Marketing from Microsoft Azure explains: “Companies earning this competency must satisfy a number of implementation criteria, produce references, conduct satisfaction surveys and pass through various technical assessments. We’re pleased to announce that Qorus Software has met all these criteria and look forward to a long and prosperous collaboration.”
Meiring is delighted to be recognised in this manner: “We have been a proud Microsoft Gold Partner in Application Development for a while now, and this new competency builds on our already strong strategic alliance with Microsoft.”
