AUSTIN, Texas, March 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Quake Capital, an emerging early stage investor focused on making seed level investments across a wide range of industries, today announced that Jason Fernandez has joined the firm as Managing Partner for their Austin program. He will be based in Austin, Texas and manage Quake's ATX office where he will be responsible for overseeing Quake's ATX accelerator program, as well as the firm's Investor and Advisor Network. Fernandez's hire signals Quake's investment in senior talent to support the significant investment opportunity in Austin and surrounding startup ecosystems.
Fernandez brings 20 years' experience in the financial services sector across startup, midsize and large corporate landscapes. He joins Quake from BASE Equity Partners, where he served as an operations and finance partner. Over the course of his career, including the last decade in Austin, he has been involved with numerous capital raises, investments and acquisitions across industry verticals. He has been an Executive Board member for both Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas and College Forward. He has also served as Board President and is currently an Executive Board member for TeXchange.
