Quality Material Handling launches new project at the SCE Metro West Plant to improve on-site safety and efficiency. The installation of the new material handling system will take place without interruption of the daily workflow at the SCE Metro West Plant.

Safety, quality and customer satisfaction is our number one priority.

Quality Material Handling Inc. (QMH) announced today that it will be launching a new development project to bring safety and efficiency standards to a new high at Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Metro West Plant. At the heart of the new project QMH will design and install an all-new heavy duty pallet racking system at the center of the plant’s operation.

As a one-stop-shop for material handling systems and material handling equipment, QMH will tear down the existing system at the SCE Metro West Plant, provide new system material, and unload and install the full system with an experienced, licensed, insured and bonded installation crew familiar with Edison safety codes and requirements. QMH will dismantle the existing racking and install the new racking through a smooth, efficient, and quick process without disrupting regular daily workflow at the SCE Metro West Plant. The process includes a detailed site plan designed by QMH’s in-house AutoCAD draftsman and their staff will provide SCE with all necessary city, fire and high pile permits to ensure all racking is on par with city and fire department regulations.

“This is an exciting project for us,” said QMH CEO Hector Pinto. “We’re proud of our past six years of work with Southern California Edison on a variety projects and we believe their satisfaction, trust and confidence in our work is why they continue to seek us out for new projects,” he added.

QMH stands behind their motto of, “Safety, quality and customer satisfaction is our number one priority,” in every project and the new material handling and rack system project for SCE will be no different. “The preparation process is as much or more important than the execution process in any material handling and rack systems project,” said Pinto. “Coming into the installation completely prepared with our CAD designs and permits in hand not only ensures a flawless installation, but also instills confidence in our clients,” he said.

Recently, QMH completed another material handling project for SCE at their Catalina Island plant. At the plant, which services the entire island, QMH designed and installed a new catwalk mezzanine to improve access, workflow and safety.
