Quantum® Unveils iLevel™ Technology At International Seating Symposium
EXETER, PA (PRWEB) February 26, 2015 -- Quantum Rehab®, a Pride Mobility Products® company, is pleased to announce the unveiling of its revolutionary iLevel™ seat elevation technology at the 2015 International Seating Symposium (ISS). Designed to dramatically enhance the quality of life of those with disabilities, iLevel technology allows users to remain mobile at eye-level standing height while operating the power wheelchair at walking speed.
iLevel is an integrated power seating system that elevates up to 10”, while simultaneously stabilizing the power wheelchair via advanced electronics and suspension, allowing full functionality at walking speeds up to 3 mph.
“Having been a power chair user for eight years, iLevel has truly changed my life,” shares Kiel Eigen, 22, a C5 quadriplegic as the result of a football accident. “In my previous chairs, I rarely used the seat lift because I really couldn’t move anywhere. iLevel is being released exclusively on the new Q6 Edge® 2.0, an iLevel-ready power base. The Q6 Edge 2.0, with its single-stage drive train and redesigned caster arms for enhanced performance, accepts iLevel technology at the time of order or is easily retrofitted at a later date.
As an integrated, intuitive system, iLevel operates seamlessly. With the touch of a single button, the seating raises or lowers in a mere 24 seconds, including while the power wheelchair is driving, and iLevel technology automatically regulates the stability-enhanced suspension and speed, ensuring both functionality and safety.
