Chatbot lets customers report Covid-19 safety; Texas Restaurant Association is first in the nation to deploy

Quiq, the leading provider of business messaging software for customer communications, today announces that customer experience experts at A Closer Look are using Quiq’s technology for its Trusted Partner Program. Using Quiq, A Closer Look has deployed a national text-enabled number where customers can report on COVID-19 health and hygiene at participating restaurants.

The Texas Restaurant Association is the program’s first partner.

“In order for re-openings to be successful and customers to return, they need to feel that businesses are taking their health and safety seriously,” said Chris Gillen, CEO of A Closer Look. “As participating businesses complete the training and assessment requirements, members of the Texas Restaurant Association will be able to receive feedback, in near real-time, so they can return to business while addressing any concerns that customers may have.”

By texting ”SAFE,” Quiq’s AI powered chatbot prompts customers through a three question survey related to health and hygiene practices of the business and, in near real-time, reports these concerns to the corporate office. Customers can share additional details including pictures or attachments. The business receives this feedback via the Trusted Partner Program dashboard where they can manage the information and take appropriate actions with the customer and the restaurant location.

To be eligible to participate in the program, businesses must pass a training certification for their employees and complete a round of health and hygiene assessments at the location. Upon completion, the business will receive door decals showing they are part of the Trusted Partner Program and provide their customers with a number and location code they can use at any time to share feedback with the business.
