As law departments continue to face increased pressure to do more with less, the panel provides an opportunity to learn from industry leaders who recently drove a decision to buy or build and to learn how things are different now than they were just a few years ago.

QuisLex, a leading alternative legal service provider, announced today that it is hosting a panel discussion and presenting a tech talk at 2019 ACC Xchange in Minneapolis.

QuisLex AVP of Corporate Solutions Chase D’Agostino will lead a panel titled “‘Buy or Build?’ An Old Question Takes on New Meaning for Law Departments”. He will also present a “Tech Talk” featuring “the Contract App,” a turnkey solution to Non-Disclosure Agreements.

The panel session will discuss key considerations and frameworks to help law departments make the right decision on whether to select an off-the-shelf tool or build their own solution based on the specifics of their company’s use case. Joining D’Agostino on the panel will be Nitin Batra, Head of Global Legal Services & Productivity at Citibank, N.A., Reese J. Arrowsmith, VP, Head of Legal Operations at Campbell Soup Company, Cade Lobodzinski, Legal Operations Specialists at McAfee, and Carol Simcox, Manager of Operations-Law Department at TE Connectivity.

“As law departments continue to face increased pressure to do more with less, the panel provides an opportunity to learn from industry leaders who recently drove a decision to buy or build and to learn how things are different now than they were just a few years ago,” says D’Agostino.

At the Tech Talk, D’Agostino will discuss “the Contract App,” an application built to quickly negotiate and execute NDAs with no pre-work, setup or configuration. “What is really exciting about the Contract App is that it was built entirely using off the shelf “no code” tools, yet is packed with functionality, including a novel workflow for ‘pre-negotiating’ with a counterparty before an agreement is generated. It’s a great example of how technology is easy if you start with building the right content and process.”

The inaugural ACC Xchange combines ACC’s Mid-Year Meeting and Legal Operations Conference into a single event for in-house counsel and legal operations professionals. It includes three days of networking opportunities and peer-based learning.
