Raleigh Law Firm Survives Year of Covid-19 and Celebrates its 8th Anniversary
The Bishop Law Firm is celebrating its 8th anniversary. Attorney Kimberly Bishop opened her doors back in 2013 as a one-woman shop. Eight years later, the firm has 8 employees and represents those in need, not only throughout Raleigh, but also in surrounding areas of North Carolina.
RALEIGH, N.C., Apr. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Kimberly Bishop knew she wanted to be a lawyer when she was 9-years-old. "I always wanted to help people live better lives," she stated. "I learned early in my life that lawyers can really serve as someone's personal hero. Since I wanted to help as many people as I could, I was determined to become a lawyer and do just that."
The Bishop Law Firm is a contingency-fee law firm. This enables everyone to have access to legal help since the upfront costs are paid for by the firm. The firm only gets paid if clients win their case. "Calling a client on the phone to tell them that they have won their case is one of the best moments of being a lawyer. We work hard for these moments every day," said Bishop.
The firm specializes in personal injury, social security disability and workers' compensation cases. As her case load increased, and her firm's longevity, all but certain, Bishop created an annual educational scholarship. The $1,000 stipend is given to a deserving student who is planning to attend an accredited undergraduate or graduate program. For more information on the scholarship, you can click here. The Bishop Law Firm also takes great pride in supporting the community at large by their charitable donations to local homeless shelters.
Born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina, Attorney Bishop sought her education close to home. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives. Bishop is admitted to practice in the Eastern and Middle Districts of the United States District Court. She is also a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Social Security Disability Law Specialist.
