DALLAS, Sept. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Rally for Safety, the wearable emergency alerting button and mobile app, with a core mission to help end sexual assault and rape on college campuses, announced that it has partnered with The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (the Institute) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) for a pilot program focused on the of the Rally for Safety button device and app. More than 100 UT-Dallas students are slated to participate in the pilot, which will begin with an on-boarding night on September 4, 2019. The three-month pilot program will result in data focused on the button and app's usage and benefits over a multi-month time frame.

Rally for Safety and the Institute connected through their joint relationship with Capital Factory, The pilot program is slated to work with 100 UT Dallas students, who will be among the first to use the Rally for Safety technology. All of the pilot program participants will receive a free Rally wearable button and access to the premium version of the Rally for Safety app, which features including 911 monitoring, the Rally on-demand community, GPS alerts to selected friends and family, and the signature Rally check-in alerts.
An essential piece to the pilot program is proving that the mobile app features effectively reduce crime related to these students and engenders confidence for students to live safer in the world around them. The volunteer participants will be part of an independent study on the buttons and app administered by The Rally for Safety team. At the culmination of the pilot, students will be given a survey that helps Rally improve its capabilities and better expand its safety reach.
