NEW YORK, April 19, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "On the Tidings of Time" (published by Trafford Publishing) is the second poetry collection by celebrated German poet, novelist and opera librettist Ralph Günther Mohnnau.
First published in February 2007, this anthology that exclusively centers on the subject of time, is set for a new press campaign this year.
"On the Tidings of Time" is Mohnnau's poetic and philosophical undertaking of his fascination with time. The book runs the gamut from those inspired by the Zen philosophers of old, to wry observations on the field of science, to those that strike close to the heart. Each poem explores eternal aspects of life and time which the author believes will appeal to educated readers who are interested about the notion of "what is time?"
A poem titled "the iron-bender" reads:
as one asked the iron-bender
what time be
he took a piece of iron
and with his bare hands
bent it into a hoop
this here
said he
this is time
The poems in "On the Tidings of Time," like Mohnnau's two other poetry collections "Sowing Nightshade in the Wastelands of Cities" and "Day by Day Time Folding Time," are presented in English and German languages.
