SAN DIEGO, Aug. 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Rancho Milagro Recovery is proud to announce it has earned its accreditation for Behavioral Health Home Certification from the Joint Commission. The prestigious recognition is the result of a rigorous evaluation by the Joint Commission, which has determined and confirmed the multi-bed residential drug and alcohol abuse recovery facility's unwavering commitment to patient care.
The Joint Commission is responsible to identify health care organizations that have made patient safety an ongoing, top priority. Although healthcare organizations are not required to have JC accreditation, the honor of holding it allows the healthcare industry – and patients – to easily identify organizations that are successfully integrating and coordinating person-centered health care in order to improve the quality of life for individuals with mental illness or other behavioral health conditions. Rancho Milagro sought out Joint Commission accreditation as part of its commitment to deliver the highest standard of care for recovery patients.
"Rancho Milagro Recovery has demonstrated its ability to provide services that address the physical and behavioral health needs of the whole person, which can improve overall satisfaction with the care experience," said Julia Finken, RN, BSN, MBA, CSSBB, CPHQ, executive director, Behavioral Health Care Accreditation Program, The Joint Commission.
Rancho Milagro is a co-ed Residential Treatment Facility treating drug and alcohol addiction by implementing current evidence-based practices, further tailored to address the needs of the individual client. The two 6-bed facilities allows for attentive, highly customized care. It is staffed around the clock, offering a multitude of services and amenities including individual and group therapy, chaperoned outings, daily walks through nature, private accommodations, prepared meals, and entertainment. Once a working ranch, Rancho Milagro now houses many rescue animals including cows, horses, pigs and emu's to name a few.
Judee Tompkins, Co-founder of Rancho Milagro, said, "Rancho Milagro has been dedicated to providing best-of recovery services, within a comfortable and engaging environment that encourages long-term change. We believe in treatment that works, personal care, personal recovery. The Joint Commission's standards are the gold standard for care. Their recognition of our work is an immense honor, and paves the way for us to continue finding ways to improve the drug abuse and alcohol abuse recovery experience for those who need it most."
