Ray Insurance Agencies and the Meals on Wheels Association Launch Cooperative Charity Drive to Provide Meals for Local Seniors
Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) September 29, 2015 -- Ray Insurance Agencies, a locally owned insurance firm with offices that serve Fort Worth and the surrounding communities, is teaming up with the nationally recognized Meals on Wheels Association to provide food and friendship to local seniors who are struggling with food insecurity.
The Meals on Wheels Association is one of the largest and longest lived American charities working to counteract the growing problem of senior hunger and isolation nationwide. Assisting over 5000 nutrition programs throughout the country, the Meals on Wheels Association serves nearly every community and neighborhood in the nation, and runs a network of more than two million volunteers who deliver fresh meals to disabled and poverty stricken seniors on a regular basis. As well, Meals on Wheels performs safety checks to ensure that seniors are safe, secure, hunger-free, and able to live as independently as possible.

Gustafson and his team are reaching out to local business owners, community members, clients, and friends to advocate for the importance of preventing senior food insecurity and to gather donations that will be used to ensure the Fort Worth chapter of Meals on Wheels remains fully funded. The Ray Insurance team is also constructing a social media platform that they predict will draw in even more support from nearby communities.
In addition to assisting the Meals on Wheels Association in their mission to stamp out senior hunger, Ray Insurance Agencies has assisted a number of other local charities and plans to work with even more over the months to come, at the rate of one new charity every 60 days.
