Realogics Sotheby's International Realty With Indigo Architecture & Interiors Present Final Opportunity To Land On Bainbridge Island's Roost On Flying Goat Avenue
Neighborhood Development on Bainbridge Island from the Imagination of Indigo Architecture & Interiors Invest in Community Lifestyle with Smart Designed, Built-to-Last Live + Work Townhomes Steps from the Water
SEATTLE, Feb. 13, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The team behind Indigo Architecture & Interiors and Realogics Sotheby's International Realty (RSIR) proudly present Bainbridge Island's most desirable new community, ROOST. (http://roostbainbridge.com/) Built on a foundation of top-quality homes with an investment in building a genuine community, ROOST offers a unique chance for homebuyers to invest in a brand-new home and/or commercial space, before it sells out.
"ROOST contributes actual architecture to Lynwood Center and to Bainbridge Island as a whole," explains Indigo founder and RSIR global real estate advisor Belinda Thornburg. "It values quality over quantity. It provides opportunities for community to happen and for memories to be made."
Offering high-end design, a lock-and-leave appeal, and sustainable construction that's built to last, the Indigo team is confident that their community is not only perfect for Bainbridge Islanders but also for those Seattleites craving that small-town feel and escape from the hectic in-city lifestyle, while maintaining close proximity to the metro area.
ROOST offers its residents and prospective buyers two main differentiators between itself and other Island communities. First, the quality of construction outpaces most new-build, stand-alone, and new development neighborhoods. Belinda Thornburg says she encourages prospective buyers to visit the spaces and explore the finishes, design, and proportions.
The development's other differentiator is its ability to weave a sense of community by creating gathering spaces, commercial opportunities, and a space for short-term guests. Within the development, residents will find a firepit area, sculptures, patios, benches, and gardens. "The human interaction will actually make it sing," says Belinda Thornburg. "In the end, we know that the best parts of ROOST will develop from something totally unintended."
Bainbridge Island has seen increased volume in new-build communities. Many of these neighborhoods are designed and assembled by teams off-island, however, with their island roots, Jeb Thornburg, Indigo Architecture and Interiors Founder and Director of Design, along with Belinda, offer insight that appeals to both the Bainbridge residents and those who might be newly exploring Island living.
They have proved that so far: ROOST is a three-phase development, with Phase I selling out in 2018. All of the owners from Phase I remain, without a single resale opportunity. The same is expected of Phase II, as customers are drawn in by modern design finishes and are ultimately won over by construction that is not only beautiful, but that is built to last, in the next of Bainbridge Island's rising neighborhoods.
Belinda and Jeb's partnership at Indigo started long before the business: Belinda first met Jeb in the fifth grade in Fair Oaks, Calif. Their friendship continued through high school when they started to date, and eventually, the pair attended California Polytechnic State University. While Jeb studied architecture, Belinda pursued interior design, and among other experiences, was tapped for a part-time job inside of America's most revered homes—Hearst Castle. Following college, Jeb grew his experience at a San Francisco architecture firm, while Belinda broadened her pursuits to international marketing, and eventually, the pair made their way to the Seattle area.
Searching for the property where they could build a home together when they arrived in the Pacific Northwest in the mid-1990s, Belinda and Jeb were instantly drawn to Bainbridge Island. As natural entrepreneurs, an opportunity arose to create a distinctive home for a client in Kirkland, Jeb and Belinda left their corporate positions and formed Indigo, allowing them to create a wholly unique space. From there, they built their business creating distinctive custom homes for high-end clients. When they start designing the community that would become ROOST, much like their own home and estates they'd been drawing up for others for years, the design aesthetics and desire for a close-knit neighborhood became the goal. For the location, the choice of Bainbridge Island's Lynwood neighborhood was obvious.
Upon completion of Phase II, ROOST will enter its final phase of construction: a modern-day camp with an on-site restaurant will take full advantage of the outdoors and allow vacationers to experience Island life like never before. Belinda and Jeb not only designed and developed CAMP but are rooted in the community and will stay on to manage the property and guests. It's a testament to their belief in building a lasting experience for the permanent residents in ROOST and the growth the tourism can provide the community.
ROOST has garnered praise for its design, sustainably built practices and was recently recognized as a top Insulated Concrete Form Multifamily Project in the United States. Phase II of the project is expected to sell out by late March.
