On a curvilinear lot, Mattingly found a way to organize a new residence that responded to the benefits of the tree-laden corner site, creating a park-like setting for O'Shaughnessy's vision of a Belgian country house. "Belgian Country Houses have a modern edge to them for their lack of fussy ornamentation," noted Mattingly.
Working together, O'Shaughnessy and Mattingly designed a house in a series of volumes with clean, stark lines in an Old-World Masonry Composition. The home will be complete with all the modern luxuries homebuyers have come to expect, while lending itself to the warmth and tradition of a century year old home.
