Realtors Stan Abraham and John Vitale Participate in Phoenix Rescue Mission's Code Red Water Drive
The Stan Abraham and John Vitale Team from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties are proud to have participated in Phoenix Rescue Mission's Code Red Water Drive.
PHOENIX, Aug. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- According to the Phoenix Rescue Mission's website, "City officials refer to Code Red season as an 'invisible, slow-moving crisis.' In Arizona, an average of 118 people die every year from excessive heat. The danger disproportionately targets Phoenix's most vulnerable populations: seniors, those with disabilities, and homeless people." The water drive, held this year from June 8 to July 13, is held every year in the summer because the heat in the summertime is extreme.
The Stan Abraham and John Vitale Team from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties, with 24 years of combined real estate experience, helped collect 1,400,000 bottles of water for the homeless. They helped lead their office to collect 13,213 bottles of water.
The average temperature in Phoenix in July, according to The Weather Channel, is 106 degrees. The Arizona Emergency Information Network reported, "Most heat disorders strike when people spend too much time in the heat or overexert themselves. Older adults, young children, and people who are sick, overweight or have an underlying health condition are more susceptible to heat-related illness." The homeless are significantly affected.
"Living in the desert," said Stan, "seeing people standing outside suffering is devastating." John added, "This is the least we can do to help the homeless living in these horrendous conditions."
In 2008, John joined Stan as his partner. In 2017, they were presented with the Lifetime Member President's Roundtable & Sales Award for selling more than $23 million dollars in sales by the West Maricopa Association of REALTORS®.
