Reber Ranch is Proud to Support the 'Adopt Don't Shop' Movement
KENT, Wash. (PRWEB) July 25, 2018 -- At Reber Ranch, 'Adopt Don't Shop' is more than a cute catchphrase, it is a belief system. On August 4th Reber Ranch will host a HUGE summer pet event called Dog Daze & Feline Fantasies at Kent Station, a local shopping complex. The road will be closed to traffic and 20+ pet rescue groups and other vendors will convene with the goal of adopting out as many pets as possible to loving homes.
This event follows on the back of Wags & Whiskers, the most successful ever adoption event onsite at Reber Ranch. On July 14th over 40 pets found a new forever home at this event. In addition to exciting events like these, Reber Ranch is home to an AAHA Accredited Veterinary Hospital and as Practice Manager Curtis Kiteley iterates, "We at Reber Ranch Veterinary Hospital wholeheartedly respect and appreciate our amazing allies in shelters and rescues throughout the state. We offer complementary examinations to newly adopted pets to repay those pet parents who open their heart and home to these pets in need, and to support every shelter pet’s overall health and wellness."
Did you know that over 1.5 million adoptable shelter animals are euthanized each year? These wonderful animals deserve a second chance which is why Reber Ranch is such a big believer in adopting pets from rescues or shelters. Many of our own team members have adopted pets from shelters, like our Controller, Tracy Pierce, who says, "We've always adopted older animals, the ones that are harder to find homes for because they're not new puppy/kitten cute. They have experience, they have baggage, just like humans. We gave them another chance to find out what an open, loving home can be like, providing comfort and safety, and they rewarded us in kind."
Do you want to make a difference in the life of a pet in need? Join us on August 4th at Kent Station in Kent, WA. Adopting a pet may not change the world, but for that one pet, their world will change forever.
