...being able to look squarely at a problem and realize that we can often overcome it simply by challenging our own beliefs and assumptions is empowering.

The Trium Group, a leading management consultancy that specializes in breakthrough business performance, today announced a successful Dialogues on the Future of Leadership event on October 21. The one-day workshop featured world-renowned speaker and New York Times best-selling author, Byron Katie, and included business and human resources executives from a cross-section of global companies.

Andrew Blum, Founder and CEO of The Trium Group, kicked off the day with a challenge to executives to create meaningful change within their organizations by leading “from the inside out.” Blum framed the day by discussing the dynamics of leading in today’s business environment and asked the executives in attendance to consider how different the business world might be if we led from a place of compassion and internal clarity.

Throughout the day, Byron Katie demonstrated her powerful inquiry process, called “The Work,” which was designed to strengthen one’s connection and clarity in the midst of even the most difficult situations. Through authentic dialogues with Blum and other business executives, Byron Katie provided attendees with processes, practices, and an introspective approach to questioning the beliefs that plague our daily work.

“In times of great change and uncertainty, being able to look squarely at a problem and realize that we can often overcome it simply by challenging our own beliefs and assumptions is empowering,” said Gene Frantz, General Partner, CapitalG.

“Katie’s process of self-inquiry allows those who practice it to lead their organizations in a profound and authentic way,” says Blum. “Our mission at Trium has always been to change the world by changing the way business leaders think. This event is the embodiment of that mission. Showing business executives how to question the beliefs that constrain their organizations essentially enables them to become more clear, empathetic and effective in their leadership.”
