Record-Breaking Cold Weather Hits America
North NJ (PRWEB) January 17, 2014 -- The new year has already proven to be one of the coldest on record for many areas of the United States. A polar vortex from the Midwest caused temperatures to drop all the way into Boston and Atlanta. The Huffington Post claimed in an article dated January 7th that there were 21 cold-related deaths the first week of 2014 alone. This shortage is from a combination of people’s high usage of propane heaters due to price drops along with the wet harvest season in October which forced people to use a higher amount propane than expected. It also now takes longer to transport propane from Canada since the Cochin pipeline was modified to export materials rather than import.
