I welcome the opportunity to partner with RPS’ existing team, lead Recovery Point into a new era and shape the company’s growth into 2021 and beyond - Rossabi

Recovery Point Systems, Inc. (“RPS”) announced today that Anthony “Tony” Rossabi will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer and Robert Carter will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer of its newly formed parent company Recovery Point Group Holdings (“RPS Group” or “Recovery Point”). In addition, Robert “Bob” Hicks will assume the role of Chief Client Officer for RPS Group and ascend to the position of President of RPS Maryland, a new business unit within the RPS Group.

Earlier this year, Abry Partners, a Boston-based Private Equity firm, completed the acquisition of RPS, a leading provider of mission-critical disaster recovery and colocation services for commercial and governmental services. Headquartered in Maryland, RPS owns and operates two state-of-the-art Tier III datacenters and is a leading national provider of secure and compliant IT infrastructure, colocation, disaster recovery as a service (“DRaaS”) and business resilience services. The newly formed RPS Group is an entity focused on the growth of RPS and complementary acquisitions.

In his role as CEO, Rossabi will focus on Recovery Point’s growth and future expansion plans. A talented and seasoned executive, Rossabi brings over twenty years of experience in technology, communications, data center infrastructure sales, marketing, operations, and strategic planning. Prior positions include Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of TierPoint, Managing Director for Digital Realty Trust’s colocation and connectivity business unit (Telx), and Senior Vice President of Global Carrier Solutions at TATA Communications.

“I welcome the opportunity to partner with RPS’ existing team, lead Recovery Point into a new era and shape the company’s growth into 2021 and beyond,” said Rossabi. “Recovery Point is known as the resilience vendor of choice for enterprises with complex x86 or heterogeneous environments. Under this new structure, we can increase services and capabilities and leverage the existing Tier III datacenter footprint and recent FedRAMP certification as we broaden the corporate vision.”

In his role as COO, Carter will be responsible for RPS Group’s corporate strategy and development as well as product and distribution strategy. Prior to Recovery Point, Carter served as TierPoint’s Senior Vice President of Product, Architecture and Engineering. Carter joined TierPoint in 2015, following its acquisition of Windstream Hosted Solutions, where he was Vice President of Cloud and Data Center Product and Marketing.

“I am delighted to join Recovery Point at this exciting time,” said Carter. “Recovery Point has been a respected industry leader for the last 20 years. The partnership with Abry and creation of RPS Group creates more options to expand to the next level and better serve our customers.”

As assets are added to the RPS Group portfolio, Hicks will assume a larger role as CCO while concurrently leading RPS Maryland. Hicks brings over 30 years of experience in information technology and data center operations management to the organization. Prior positions include Chief Operating Officer at DBSi and Senior Vice President at Xand and TierPoint.

The creation of RPS Group is a culminating step in Recovery Point’s growth and development plan as the company’s strategy is refined and its position strengthens in both the DRaaS and colocation marketplaces.
