San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- Red Tricycle announced the winners of its 3rd Annual Totally Awesome Awards, a reader-driven awards program recognizing the best parenting brands, products, and neighborhood services and resources for families with children ages 0-10. The Totally Awesome Awards is the definitive recognition of what’s best for parents in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle and Washington, D.C. The Awards are presented by zulily, the leading daily deals site for moms, babies and kids that offers up to 70% off top brands alongside hard-to-find boutique brands.
Driven by an audience of active and engaged moms, this year’s Totally Awesome Awards amassed more than 236,000 online votes in 94 categories ranging from local bests (Easiest Drop-off Childcare and Coolest Camps for Kids) to all-time brand favorites (Comfiest Cribs & Beds and Freshest Maternity Fashions).
To celebrate the winners and Top 10 finalists of the Totally Awesome Awards 2013, Red Tricycle put together 9 events in 9 cities. Each event gathered 100-plus local influencers, Totally Awesome Awards winners and Top 10 Finalists from their respective markets.
Jacqui Boland, CEO and Founder of Red Tricycle, congratulated the winners with a toast at the events, saying: “Tonight is an acknowledgement and celebration of all your hard work, dedication and success. You are all awesome. Totally awesome. The reason that you're in this room tonight is because your community reached out and took the time to vote for you. It may sound simple, asking people to click a few boxes, but we know that even that is no easy feat. Everyone is so busy today, that even an extra five minutes is difficult to squeeze in. But your customers took the time to do this because what you do is important to them. And it's important to us. Nothing gives us more pleasure than helping a business that supports families not only succeed but thrive.”
Events were held at the following loved local businesses:
September 5 San Francisco, Bay Area Discovery Museum
September 9 Los Angeles, Zimmer Children's Museum
September 9 Chicago, Land of Nod Store
September 9 Seattle, Land of Nod Store U-Village
September 10 San Diego, KidVentures 4S
September 10 Portland, NW Children's Theater
September 10 Atlanta, Babywaithe Boutique Q
September 12 New York, Citibabes
