Registration for National Cyber League Virtual Cybersecurity Game/Competition is Open
Students across the world are collaborating as a community to hone in and advance their cybersecurity skills. Registration for the biannual National Cyber League (NCL) virtual game/competition, aimed at training and mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals is now open.
CHEVY CHASE, Md., Sept. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Students across the world are collaborating as a community to hone in and advance their cybersecurity skills. Registration for the biannual National Cyber League (NCL) virtual game/competition, aimed at training and mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals is now open.
What better way for high school and college students to prepare for their tech-based futures than with fun and engaging methods provided by NCL? The offensive and defensive puzzle-based, capture the flag style challenges align with the CompTIA Security+ and EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker performance-based exam objectives. Each student's performance is measured with Scouting Reports they can give to potential employers.
This is not an average cybersecurity game/competition. It is a unique community that comes together regularly to keep players connected with other like-minded individuals with the aim of being part of the up and coming cybersecurity workforce.
"We want to help strengthen your college's engagement with your cybersecurity students and let you know that NCL has a welcoming community and unique platform that motivates and retains students through their learning experiences. As students go from newbies to advanced players, their strengths and weaknesses are identified with a personalized Scouting Report so they can further develop their skills as they go," said Dan Manson, NCL commissioner.
Over 10,000 students and more than 550 institutions annually participate in the NCL. Registration for the Fall Season is $35 per player but is free for coaches (instructors/mentors) or teachers/faculty to integrate NCL into their classrooms.
