As long time members of the Central Ohio community, we take our responsibility to watch out for one another seriously. We hope our support will help make a difference in these children’s lives at this most difficult time.

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to impact our economy, REIProperties Columbus is focused on the needs of the communities and clients they serve. To that end, the Columbus-based real estate company recently expanded its partnership with the Columbus Dream Center, a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to providing hope to low income, homeless and under-served individuals and families in the Columbus, Ohio area. The Dream Center operates Learning Extension Centers (LECs), safe environments for students K-12 with access to internet, learning devices to assist with remote learning and meals and tutors. REIProperties Columbus most recent donation helps fund the LEC located at the Christian Assembly in the North Linden area. 49 kids have signed up here and more are expected.

“As long time members of the Central Ohio community, we take our responsibility to watch out for one another seriously,“ explained Jeff Ihlenfeld, REIProperties founder. “We hope our support will help make a difference in these children’s lives at this most difficult time.”

This past summer, through its partnership with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, the Columbus Dream Center used an earlier REIProperties’ donation to provide more than 6,200 meals to those in need in the Columbus area.

In addition to donations that bolster community organizations, REIProperties Columbus is helping its tenants secure the financial support they need to weather this crisis. To date, Ihlenfield and his team, have helped 16 tenants submit applications to the HOPE fund and have learned that their needs will be processed, thus delivering the financial assistance they need. In addition, the company’s property managers are sourcing additional support services at the local levels as tenant needs will likely continue.

“At this unprecedented time, we firmly believe that we must all do what we can to help one another,” Ihlenfield added. “We truly believe that we are all in this together.”
