Reiter Affiliated Companies and YMCA Team Up To Help Improve Health & Wellbeing of Santa Maria Families
(PRWEB) August 27, 2018 -- Reiter Affiliated Companies (RAC) partners with Santa Maria YMCA during annual Family Day in the Park event for their annual Resource Fair and 5K Health and Wellness event.
On Sunday, August 19, 2018, RAC joined the YMCA’s national initiative to improve the health and wellbeing of families with their 5K race and resource fair for employees and families.
“Joining the Y’s Family Day in the Park is a perfect match for us,” said Andrew Rice, VP Production. “As a company, we are highly focused on educating and engaging our employees to be agents of change in their home, workplace and community. We believe that through events like this, we can inspire employees and their families to make healthy lifestyle choices and ultimately create a healthy agricultural communities.”
The RAC Resource Fair and 5K Health and Wellness section was exclusive to employees and their families. The 5K for adults and children began at 10:30am and was by followed by a raffle, free lunch and an opportunity to meet organizations that support Santa Maria families with a variety of services.
All attendees also had access to the Family Day In the Park activities, organized by the YMCA. This year’s activities included Huck Finn Fishing Derby, entertainment stages with live bands, Zoo to You and local performances, vendor and food booths, carnival games, a water slide, bounce houses and a climbing wall.
The successful collaboration with RAC and YMCA hopes to foster future partnerships and contribute a greater value to the health and wellbeing of the Santa Maria community.
