Relias Learning Sponsors Visionary Leaders at National Council Conference
Cary, NC (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Relias Learning, the leader in online training and compliance solutions for the health and human services market, is recognizing two of the industry’s most influential and visionary leaders during the National Council’s Awards of Excellence Ceremony on April 21 in Orlando, FL.
“We are honored to sponsor these two Impact Awards for Visionary Leadership,” said Jim Triandiflou, CEO of Relias Learning. “Mr. DelGrosso and Mr. Faris are true visionaries who work tirelessly to improve the lives of children, adults, and families living with mental illnesses and addictions daily.”
The National Council for Behavioral Health, which is a strategic partner of Relias Learning, will recognize 18 honorees in three categories: Impact Awards, Inspiring Hope Awards, and Advocacy Leadership Awards. The two Impact Award honorees that Relias is sponsoring for their Visionary Leadership and their outstanding contributions to people recovering from mental illnesses and addictions are:
George DelGrosso, CEO, Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council, Denver, CO
Mr. DelGrosso’s leadership drove Colorado’s construction of a coordinated, statewide Mental Health First Aid program that boasts outspoken advocates among civic, education, public safety, criminal justice, faith, and public health leaders.
Charles Faris, President & CEO, Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., Worcester, MA
Mr. Faris organized Spectrum Health’s first central intake unit and reached out to a range of referral sources to help individuals with addictions and/or mental illnesses sustain their recovery in the community; he did this well before continuing care planning became an industry norm. He fought to integrate medical care through a partnership with a federally qualified health center and to implement a new electronic health record system throughout 15 inpatient and outpatient sites to help patients move seamlessly between levels of care.
“We’re honored to partner with National Council to recognize these amazing heroes,” said Jim. “These two gentlemen have had such tremendous impact in improving the quality of care in behavioral health, and are making a difference every day.”
