TUCSON, Ariz., Oct. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A new report from one of the web's leading remote job boards shines a light on companies that are continuing to embrace remote work in 2021 and provides a glimpse into what jobseekers can expect going into the holiday season and beyond.
Founded in 2007, Virtual Vocations is a family-owned, 100% virtual company that has dedicated the last 14 years to connecting jobseekers with legitimate remote job openings from expert-vetted employers. In the third quarter of 2021, nearly 200 of those job posts came from members of the company's exclusive Employer Partner program, which allows remote-enabled businesses to work directly with the Virtual Vocations team to share their current openings with motivated jobseekers who are actively looking for remote roles.
Spanning top industries including management, sales, education, and customer service, the companies highlighted by Virtual Vocations in its 2021 Q3 Employer Partners Report are based in the U.S. and around the world in countries like England, Australia, Canada, and Switzerland. But the data shows they aren't letting location become a barrier to finding qualified candidates:
- In Q3 of 2021, more than 95% of the open positions posted to Virtual Vocations' database by its Employer Partners were 100% remote roles requiring no travel or on-site work.
- In addition, nearly a quarter of openings from Employer Partners (24.62%) came from fully remote companies.
The Q3 Employer Partners Report also paints a promising picture both for those new to remote work and for more experienced professionals looking to switch to a new career field. According to Virtual Vocations, more than a quarter of remote job listings posted by its Employer Partners in July, August, and September 2021 sought entry-level applicants. The report goes on to reveal that:
- 50.75% of job openings posted by Virtual Vocations Employer Partners in Q3 targeted experienced professionals;
- More than 70% of the jobs posted by Employer Partners were full-time positions; and
- A whopping 75.88% of openings from Employer Partners were for permanent, rather than temporary, roles.
In addition to breaking down statistics that show remote work is here to stay even more than a year after COVID-19 first forced businesses into the digital workplace, Virtual Vocations' new report also names the 15 Employer Partners that posted the most remote openings to the company's jobs database in Q3.
The report also highlights the 25 remote-enabled companies that became the newest members of its Employer Partner program during July, August, and September of 2021.
According to Virtual Vocations CEO Laura Spawn, these employers helped bring about a 25% increase in new members to the program in the third quarter of 2021 over the same period the year prior.
"Historically, hiring slows during summer months as employees take vacations and enjoy paid time off, which has been needed now more than ever due to the tense, ongoing circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic," Spawn said. "While we did see a slight dip in Employer Partner hiring activity from July to September, annual data comparisons prove that 2021 has been an even stronger year for remote hiring than 2020."
The company expects that growth to continue as the year winds to a close.
"With more than 70 new companies added to our Employer Partners Program this year so far, remote and virtual hiring within our program is already on pace to eclipse last year's record," said Virtual Vocations Employer and Business Partnerships Specialist Erin Feldman.
"While some speculated that the abrupt shift in remote jobs on the rise would be a temporary trend to offset pandemic conditions," Feldman added, "data shows that the remote work boom is anything but temporary."
Ranked by the number of remote jobs posted in July, August, and September, the following companies were named Virtual Vocations' top 10 Employer Partners for Q3 of 2021:
1. Achieve Test Prep
2. Agilent Technologies
3. SMC National
