This platform was introduced earlier this year, through an integration with Sure, and allows users to browse renters insurance policies, pay their premium, or submit copies of insurance purchased through a different provider. The new feature allows tenants more options for paying their insurance premiums, including monthly payments.

When renters insurance was initially offered through the Rentec Direct Tenant Portal, renters were required to pay for their first year of coverage when selecting a policy. The Rentec Direct development team responded to client requests for a monthly payment system with this latest feature. Now, when tenant users sign up for renters insurance, they will have two payment options: a one-time annual payment or monthly payments.
This feature makes it easier for tenants to comply with any existing landlord requirements for renters insurance, and even upload existing insurance documents purchased outside the system. Rentec Direct’s platform keeps managers apprised of insurance status and helps tenants to easily manage their policy.
