Resource Management Institute Concludes 2019 Resource Management Global Symposium with Record Attendance from 67 Companies from Around the World

The Symposium explored innovative Resource Management techniques from industry leaders and peer companies to improve resource utilization and project performance

With over 400 member companies and 100% member growth in the past year, the Resource Management Institute has become the authority for the standardization of Resource Management strategies, practices and processes for companies around the world.

The Resource Management Institute, dedicated to the advancement of resource and workforce management thought leadership, has concluded their 2019 Resource Management Global Symposium in Dallas, Texas with resource and workforce management professionals from 67 different companies and 10 countries in attendance. The theme of the Symposium, “Mastering the Art and Science of Resource Management,” recognized the importance of understanding both best practices in Resource Management, as well as the practical implementation of those best practices.

Attendees from professional and consulting services, enterprise/IT organizations, product development teams, and other project-based services teams from around the globe came together to learn both fundamentals and advanced practices in Resource Management, collaborate with industry peers, listen to Resource Management process experts and service automation technology providers, and innovate with the very latest in Resource Management research, best practices and technology.

The Symposium opened with a keynote presentation from RMI Managing Director Randy Mysliviec exploring why companies today continue to struggle with project performance, resource utilization, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction and retention, and the role Resource Management plays in addressing these four issues.

During the annual Symposium, attendees heard from industry leaders sharing their expertise and explored topics that included the evolution of the RMO, managing utilization and time, resource management in an agile environment, and employee engagement strategies, all with an emphasis on the importance of Resource Management in delivering high quality and cost-effective services and products.
