LONG BEACH, Calif., July 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The award-wining full-service architectural firm dedicated to making everyday places extraordinary, Retail Design Collaborative, marks its 40th anniversary this month with a company rebrand and new name, RDC.RDC has worked alongside some of the country's most recognizable names, including Equinox, Kroger, Aldi, Cinepolis, Maya Cinemas and Walmart to create forward-thinking, branded spaces and experiences that resonate and engage with the public and surpass the test of time.
"RDC has always set out to make everyday places extraordinary and looking back at the past 40 years, I am honored and humbled to see that not only did we accomplish that goal, but that we as a firm became a part of it," said CEO Brad Williams, AIA. "While putting our clients first, we always take a look inside our own company to see how we too can evolve and improve as a firm and as a socially conscious business. It's this introspection that drove us to rebrand and offer a more robust suite of design services under the new RDC identity."
As part of the new RDC ethos, the firm will focus on a more holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to design across four main practices: retail, hospitality, entertainment and interiors. The goal is to raise the firm's visibility across multiple verticals leveraging its 40 years of award-wining experience.
In 2019, RDC will be designing and/or completing a myriad of projects, including Erewhon Silverlake, Los Angeles; Del Mar Town Center, San Diego; Maya Cinemas (West Coast locations), Aldi (California locations); Equinox (locations TBD) and several large developments soon to be announced in San Diego, including acting as the Executive Architect to Campus at Horton.
With a collaborative practice of architecture, entertainment architecture, interior architecture and design, and store design, RDC creatively meets the diverse needs of a variety of consumer-centric project types. The full-service architecture practice specializes in deep experience in conceptual design, entitlement, site planning and all stages of construction documentation and construction administration. The practice encompasses many different scales, from small store planning to large master plans, and everything in-between. RDC services include: design development, architecture, planning, interiors, sustainability and program management.
"We celebrate the blend and balance between business and buyer, one of the focal points of human interaction. As the paradigm of consumerism rapidly changes, we shift and evolve in parallel, often staying one step ahead through data-driven insights," added Williams.
