Business highlights from a quarter unlike any other in company history

On March 13, the Reveal Mobile team decided to stay home and set up our remote work stations, preparing to hunker down and stay healthy during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic. Some of us camped at the kitchen table, others had a home office ready to roll, while others hit the couch and called it good. We didn’t know then how long we’d be at home.

As it turns out, we spent the entire second quarter working from any number of locations except our office in Raleigh. Even with the team scattered around the Triangle area of North Carolina, we all pulled together and wrapped up a strong Q2. So strong, in fact, we’re in no rush to get back to the office any time soon.

During the past quarter, we closed on a round of funding led by Bull City Venture Partners and were awarded a new patent for determining the quality score of a mobile device.

On the product front, we launched VISIT Local Free, a foot traffic report and audience tool that enables marketers to understand foot traffic trends for brands and chain retailers they care about. The new free tool also provides marketers with free location-based audiences that can be used in ad campaigns. We invite you to check it out and create your free account.

We welcomed dozens of new customers to the VISIT platform, bringing on new agencies, brands and enterprises to VISIT Local, VISIT Match and VISIT Data. Two of our customers were featured in new location-based marketing case studies, iBBQ and Brand Equation.

Further on the sales front, we exceeded our MRR goal and closed a record-setting amount of new MRR for VISIT Local, a testament to the increasing value of location-based marketing and the advertising’s community belief in its worth.

The marketing team also hit a new record in Q2, acquiring more qualified leads than ever before, while reducing the average cost of demand. From the investment in lead generation and brand awareness, marketing drove 89 percent of sales pipeline for VISIT Local, and nearly 60 percent for VISIT Match and VISIT Data.

Using our privacy-compliant location data, we also published reports on how the coronavirus pandemic has affected foot traffic to retail and grocery stores across the U.S.

With the pandemic showing little sign of abating, it’s on to Q3 from the comfort and safety of our home offices, couches and kitchen tables, where we continue to improve the way agencies and brands of all sizes use location data to understand and reach high intent consumer audiences.
