Rhoades & Morrow Proudly Supports New Program to Recognize Delaware's Nurses
Rhoades & Morrow, a law firm, which is focused on handling personal injury matters, is proud to announce its support for a nursing recognition program formed through a new partnership between the Delaware Nurses Association (DNA), the Delaware Organization of Nursing Leadership (DONL) and the DAISY Foundation.
WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 31, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The DAISY Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, established in 1999 in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, by members of his family. Patrick died at the age of 33 from complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a little known but not uncommon auto-immune disease. (DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System.) The care Patrick and his family received from nurses while he was ill inspired a means of thanking nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of their patients and patient families.
DAISY honors nurses for their compassionate and outstanding work every year. Nurses may be nominated by patients, families, and colleagues and the award recipients are chosen by the Joint Committee on Nursing Recognition which includes nurse members and a representative from Rhoades & Morrow. Awards are presented throughout the year at celebrations attended by the honoree's colleagues, patients, and visitors.
In view of the extraordinary sacrifices and contributions made by Delaware's nurses throughout Delaware, Rhoades & Morrow is honored to be a part of this program and is proud to support and recognize Delaware's nurse heroes.
