Locally owned franchises across the nation are honoring more than 23,000 professional caregivers from February 16-22.

For example, the Right at Home Bronx, New York, office is honoring its caregivers with thank-you cards, banded bracelets, and milestone pins for the years they have been with Right at Home. The Right at Home Rhome, Texas, office is welcoming its caregivers with meals and treats every day of the special week. The office is also sharing inspiring stories of care and gratitude with its care teams.

Linda Elliott, a caregiver with the Right at Home Bellingham office, cares for a couple who would not be able to live independently without extra home support. She shared that as a mother, she chose the caregiving profession because it felt like a natural step in continuing her love of caring for others. That passion can be seen in her commitment to her clients who require special dietary planning and meal preparation to accommodate their many allergies and health conditions, and in the extra servings she leaves behind in the fridge, as a mother would do.
Shanique Thomas Douglas, a caregiver with Right at Home Bronx, made a point to visit one of her clients in the hospital, bringing the client flowers and a card. This was not a scheduled care visit but a personal one, demonstrating that for Douglas, caregiving is more than just a job. It's about building special bonds with those in her care and their families, showing that caregiving is a calling and a deeply personal commitment.
