RIP-IT Announces New Helium-Filled Baseball Bat
ORLANDO, Fla. (PRWEB) February 09, 2015 -- RIP-IT announced today the release of a new baseball bat built with superior technology. The new bat contains a special valve, designed by RIP-IT and its engineers, which allows the bat to be filled with compressed Helium gas from the handle to the end cap. Helium guarantees perfect pressure permitting bat walls to flex and react to the ball in a more efficient way than regular air-filled bats.
“We wanted to craft the perfect BBCOR bat, and the Helium chamber in the new Helium BBCOR Bat granted us this wish,” said Jason Polstein, co-founder and CEO of RIP-IT Sports. He added, “It is a 47 step process to mold each Helium BBCOR Bat — which includes making the bat airtight, filling the bat with compressed Helium, and rigorous quality control tests. This gives us the confidence to say that we have the best BBCOR bar in the market.”
To create the Helium BBCOR Bat and guarantee better bat performance, RIP-IT designed a custom-made valve made of a solid aluminum rod that is installed in the handle of the bat. The compressed Helium inside the bat is secured with a two-step process where a special airtight adhesive is used before the knob is welded shut to guarantee optimum pound per square inch.
“Creating a bat that is thoughtful and powerful has always been at the heart of what we do at RIP-IT, and with the Helium BBCOR I think we are at the beginning of what will be the next evolution in baseball bats,” said Jason Polstein, co-founder and CEO of RIP-IT.
The new BBCOR Helium Bat is a limited run of 5,000 units and it’s released at the same price point of RIP-IT Sport’s BBCOR AIR Elite Bat.
