RISC Networks Announces CloudScape for VMware Cloud on AWS

Launched today with initial availability in AWS US West (Oregon) region, VMware Cloud on AWS brings together VMware’s enterprise-class Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) software and elastic, bare-metal infrastructure from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to give organizations consistent operating model and application mobility for private and public cloud. CloudScape provides the ability to quickly create application-centric migration plans to customers of VMware Cloud on AWS.
CloudScape can be utilized by service integrators, managed service providers, value added resellers and direct clients to:
• Quickly discover in-scope workloads without deploying agents to IT assets
• Automatically group applications into related stacks
• Evaluate the difficulty of migration
• Evaluate the cost of migrating all or selected workloads to the cloud
• Compare costs against other public cloud offerings
• Utilize Cloud Endure, CloudVelox or other migration tools to migrate to VMware Cloud on AWS
