On-the-Job Experience Builds Students' Problem-Solving and Critical-Thinking Skills
ATLANTA, June 22, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Risk3sixty, an Atlanta-based cyber security technology and consulting firm, announced its partnership with the Steven A. Denning Technology & Management (T&M) Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Through T&M, risk3sixty provides students access to mentorship, experiential learning, and job opportunities for multidisciplinary majors to include computer engineering, computer science, and business majors. This business and academic partnership is the latest community programrisk3sixty has sponsored as part of its Corporate Responsibility Initiative (CRI).

"The Denning Technology & Management Program is a two-year integrated course of study for students interested in computer science, engineering, and business," said John Stanford, senior corporate relations manager, Denning T&M Program. "During the second year of study, we create multidisciplinary student teams to work with corporate partners, such as risk3sixty, on a project. At the end of the term, each team presents its recommended solution to company executives."
Admissions to the T&M Program is highly competitive and limited to 70 students per class. This year's risk3sixty capstone team included a computer engineering major, two computer science majors, and a business major. The multidisciplinary nature of Denning teams encourages students to collaborate and use their unique strengths, perspectives and skills to solve real-world problems.
Risk3sixty has maintained an active CRI since the company's inception. Along with Georgia Tech's Denning T&M Program, the company collaborates with students and faculty from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and Kennesaw State University. Last year, two organizations cited risk3sixty as a "Best Place to Work." In addition, risk3sixty continued its long-held tradition of aggressively hiring retired military and supported a Six Days of Service initiative for all employees.
