Riva Precision, Fine Jewelry Manufacturer, Names Two New Hires Ahead of Vegas Shows

Ahead of the JCK Shows in Las Vegas, in order to meet increased growth and demand, Riva has appointed two new hires, Richard Weisenfeld and Wendy Ross, to the team.

Richard Weisenfeld has over 40 years experience in the jewelry industry. His expertise ranges from marketing, sales and production to relationship management, product development and sourcing. Appointed to the position of Director of Sales, Richard will focus on expanding customer relationships and increasing sales for Riva product development projects. His most recent position was at Pranda, as VP of Sales, working with sterling, gemstones and gold for eleven years. He has also worked at Tecnigold S.p.A as Managing Director of the USA, and Rhode Island-based Armbrust Corporation, rising to Executive Vice President. The Product Developer position has been offered to Wendy Ross. After graduating from Moore College of Art with a BFA in Metalsmithing, Wendy started work as a bench jeweler in a private company. Her background as a sculptor helped her to learn and understand all aspects of manufacturing. Later, she started a small design and contract shop in Philadelphia. After moving to New York, she worked for Scott Kay, in various roles. From there, she went on to become the Director of Product Development for Aya Azrielant Inc, a division of Andin International. Her next position was Vice President of Product Development, and Design with Suberi Brothers, under the new ownership of Laxmi Ltd. From there she went on to became the Executive Vice President of Branded Design for Aston Luxury Group, a division of Gitanjali Group, a publicly traded company, where she stayed for a cumulative 7 years. Wendy Ross also has a certificate from Cornell University in Sustainable Management, and will focus on product development and design execution.
