The new release consists of a suite of business applications (apps) that are built on the Riversand Data Platform (RDP). RDP is a single, integrated multi-domain master data management platform that can handle the scale, velocity and variety of data – including master data as well as transactional, analytical and interaction data. The apps consume the shared and trusted master data from the platform. In this initial release, the applications suite includes Product Information Management, Vendor Portal and Digital Asset Management solutions. In the coming weeks and months, additional apps will be made available, including solutions that are customized for particular industries. For example, an app for the automotive industry can manage vehicle and parts data that accelerates new part introduction from days to minutes, enabling quicker time to market which leads to greater revenue.

Traditional MDM has been clunky and awkward, making it difficult for business users to adopt. The Riversand Data Platform and corresponding apps built on top of it include completely new and extremely business friendly user interfaces and dashboards that facilitate improved collaboration across the enterprise and the extended ecosystems.

App ecosystem for rapid expansion to support future business needs
Riversand has created an easy way for customers (and partners) to extend the platform via apps for use cases involving analytical or transactional data with master data. This initial release offers apps that Riversand has built on the platform but coming soon will be an app toolkit (app building SDK) that allows our customers and partners to build their own apps to cater to their specific needs. Riversand customers will benefit in choosing from a rich library of apps available to them.
These new offerings were made available to a select few customers over the past year and with their feedback, insights and collaboration, the platform and apps are now Enterprise ready for the market.
