ERROL, N.H., Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- RiverVail Ranch, a 1,000-acre working nature preserve in New Hampshire's North Country, will open its 2026 pheasant hunting season September 1, offering ground hunts and driven tower shoots for both members and the public through December 31.
Located in Errol near Dixville Notch, RiverVail Ranch brings conservation, ranching, and outdoor recreation together on one property. The ranch raises 100% grass-fed bison and elk and offers pheasant hunting, fly fishing, trails, snowmobile access, and on-site lodging ranging from rustic cabins to the Hayloft Bungalow.

Open to Members and the Public
Pheasant hunting sessions are available to both members and non-members by advance reservation. Each three-hour ground-hunting session is $60, plus a six-bird minimum package at per-bird pricing. Hunting takes place on designated preserve grounds, with sessions beginning as early as 7 a.m. and the final session beginning at 1 p.m.
Ground-hunting sessions can be booked through the ranch office or in person at the Roost Clubhouse, located at 8 Buffalo Farm Road in Errol. RiverVail Ranch also operates a members-only outdoor club limited to 200 members. Members have access to priority booking, discounted per-bird hunting and lodging rates, year-round property access, a members-only clubhouse, and off-season dog-training opportunities.
Members may hunt each day the preserve is open during the September 1 through December 31 season, subject to advance reservations. A limited number of individual and corporate memberships remain available for the 2026 hunting season.
Driven Pheasant Tower Shoots
For groups, corporate outings, and special events, RiverVail Ranch offers driven pheasant tower shoots designed to accommodate 20 to 24 hunters. Each shoot features 10 to 12 stations with two shooters per station and the release of approximately 250 to 300 birds. Events can be tailored to individual groups and include a hearty lunch served at the Roost Clubhouse. Members receive 10% off tower-shoot bookings. Advance reservations are recommended, as shoot dates may fill quickly.
A Year-Round North Country Destination
While pheasant hunting is a major part of the fall season, RiverVail Ranch offers outdoor experiences throughout the year. Guests can fly fish along the ranch's trout stream, explore trails and day-access areas, and see bison and elk across the property's open pastures. The ranch also provides direct access to the regional snowmobile trail system during the winter months. On-site lodging gives guests the opportunity to extend their stay and experience the ranch and surrounding North Country throughout the year.
