RK Logistics Group Underwrites Summer Recreation Scholarships for Low-Income Families in Fremont

FREMONT, Calif., March 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- RK Logistics Group, a Silicon Valley leader in third-party logistics (3PL), has once again teamed up with the City of Fremont's Community Services Department to provide scholarships for low-income children enabling them to participate in summer recreation programs.

It's the third consecutive year RK Logistics has stepped up to fund the summer scholarship program. The company's $1,450 charitable contribution will support scholarships for up to 18 low-income children living within the City of Fremont, funding their participation in summer recreation youth program.

The scholarships help underwrite activities including swim lessons for children ages 3 to 17, tiny-tot programs, summer camps, reading development programs, art classes, park admission passes and other youth-oriented programming. Children who qualify for the Fremont Unified School District's school lunch program are eligible to apply for the scholarships.

All of the donation is used exclusively to fund youth summer program scholarships, explained Lance Sheetz, general manager of Fremont's Aqua Adventure Waterpark.

Their donation enables more access to more low-income residents, which ultimately helps further our mission to better the lives of children in the city of Fremont."
