RKL eSolutions Releases Sage ERP Connector for Concur
Lancaster, PA (PRWEB) May 10, 2016 -- RKL eSolutions (http://www.rklesolutions.com), an ERP software provider and Sage Endorsed Development Partner, has announced the release of their custom-developed Sage Connector for Concur, a cloud-based travel and expense management application. The new connector automates the process of transferring and matching travel expense data captured in Concur to the appropriate GL accounts in Sage 100, Sage 500, and Sage X3.
Thoroughly tested and certified by the Concur development team, RKL’s Sage Connector for Concur has qualified for inclusion in the Concur App Center which provides marketplace of authorized add-ons. The software is also available directly from RKL eSolutions to both existing Sage-Concur customers and other Sage partners that want to implement the connector for their own clients.
RKL’s inspiration for developing the connector came directly from their own in-house experience as both a Sage 500 and Concur customer. Transferring travel expense data from Concur to the general ledger, processing reimbursements, and settling credit card expenses was taking four to five days and lots of manual matching and reconciliation by the RKL accounting staff.
“So we decided to automate it,” says RKL president Joe Noll. “We knew we could make the entire process much faster, easier, and more accurate. That’s when the Sage Connector for Concur was born. At the same time, we knew that other businesses using both Sage and Concur would enjoy those benefits, so we built connector versions for all three Sage ERP products.”
Developed with accounting departments in mind, the Concur Connector interface has a familiar Sage ERP look-and-feel. In addition to facilitating the export/import of expense data from Concur into Sage ERP, the connector automatically handles other important activities such as:
- Expense recognition – automatic matching to the right general ledger account
- Creation of accounts payable vouchers for reimbursement
- Balancing and reconciliation of credit card statements
- Speed up month-end close cycle
Noll is confident other Sage-Concur customers will appreciate the kind of benefits his own company gained from developing Sage Connector for Concur. “Now, we’re able to reconcile travel expenses weekly instead of waiting for monthly credit card statements. And we slashed our month-end closing process from what was taking us 4 to 5 days before, down to just a couple of hours now. It’s made a huge impact on our own business and we’re confident it will for other Sage customers too.”
