The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC®) announces the re-election of Robert Laraia, RFC® to a second term on the US Chapter Board. Laraia, of Northstar Wealth Partners, LLC. in West Hartford, CT has been on the Board since 2020.
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio, Jan. 25, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- With over 30 years in financial consulting, his experience and knowledge that he brings to the Board is advantageous when solving issues that confront them. "This is my way of giving back to a profession that has afforded me a successful career," explains Laraia. "By supporting the IARFC through Board participation, I feel I can help the Board help the members to educate their clients. It is a chain reaction of promoting financial security for generations. This education, I feel is sorely needed in today's society and should be the core of who we are as financial professionals."
Not only is his interest in helping fellow members, Laraia is a Corporate Sponsor of the IARFC National Financial Plan Competition. This Competition provides opportunities to university students enrolled in a financial services curriculum to get real world experience by producing a financial plan. "It's quite interesting to see these young soon-to-be-professionals participate in this Competition," comments Laraia. "I am buoyed by their enthusiasm and the commitment they give to their presentations."
For 2023, the Board will focus on increasing membership for the IARFC while advancing a steadfast ethical culture and continuing education for its consultants. In tandem with the International Chapters, the Board promotes these core values in the Mission of the Association. "The link that we have with our International Chapters is what I find inspiring," continued Laraia. "I enjoy exploring how financial planning is conducted in different cultures and countries. It confirms that we are all the same in many ways."
The current US Chapter President, Bradley K. Maples Sr., MRFC® weighs in on having Directors who are willing to continue their service to the Association.
